French lullabies to fun rhythms, we hope your toes start tapping as we dance ‘Latin America style’ in Moncayo’s Huapango and Márquez’s Danzón no 2.
Kevin Day’s Dancing Fire continues the theme of movement, before the tempo is slowed for Ravel’s contemplative Pavane pour une infante défunte. As we approach the end of tonight’s concert we look forward to presenting Grainger’s all-familiar Shepherd’s Hey.
